JAGODA is the longest established fine jeweller, gem mining and cutting company in Zambia.

It all began when Claire Chan and Ross Walker went on safari in 1984 and bought shares in an aquamarine mine in Lukusuzi Game Park. They later expanded to mining tourmaline in Mkushi, where they became one of Africa’s largest producers of rubellite, exporting to markets globally.

Pioneering precision lapidary in Zambia and consulting for the EU, Jagoda led artisanal miners and gem dealers to the world’s largest gem shows in Hong Kong, China and Tucson, Arizona, enabling local miners to be authors of their own destiny.
